ATP can assist in forming your business entity on both the federal and state levels. Also, ATP can provide the first necessary steps when starting a business in regards to banking, transaction recording, sales tax return filings (if applicable) and estimated tax payment guidance. ATP provides this service for the State of Connecticut.
Quarterly Estimated Tax Payments Guidance
Estimated tax payments are made on a quarterly basis and can be paid online with little effort. The key is to know how much to pay each quarter, to ensure that 'enough tax' is being paid throughout the tax year. ATP can provide information, assistance, and guidance for start up business owners.
Form 1099-NEC Issuance
Form 1099-NEC is issued by January 31st of each year. A W-9 form should be provided to and filled out by the independent contractor that the payer is paying.
